Historia y arquitectura

I visited Kirkstall abby today as well as the museum opposite, absolutely beautiful. The walk round is lovely and the audio tours are great for historical information! only thing i’d say was bad was the cakes in the cafe at the end but good for a hot drink! (Also residence of leeds are free!)

A beautiful place to visit. Takes you back in history to the monks. Also visit Abbey House Museum across the road. Really worth going round.

Beautiful place and Leeds residents get in for free :). Would recommend visiting if you’re in Leeds as it’s really easy to get to from the city centre.

We used to play here when I was a child playing various sports and games and on the river, you could get rides up and down the river and also hide and seek we did not live far away from the Abbey, especially in the summer spent hours down there had some great fun and the museum was a great place we were taken there by the school to the museum lots of things to see some things were behind glass but a lot were on show so you could get a better look at how soldiers were there armoured suit must have been really heavy when they had to fight

Amazing, Historic, Spiritual and a quiet place to go and delve into the deep pits of christian monastic history. You can just get lost into the walls and the architecture of this place. Recommended to all history lovers. 🙏

Great place to meet up with friends. Children enjoy the space. Abby house museum well worth a visit. The Abbey House cafe has moved into Kirkstall abby, where you can get food and coffee. Also some good shops at kirkstall. Flood defence works on the river at Kirkstall Abbey seam to be nearly finished.
